Adults Take Over Florida Children’s Museum to Raise Money for Programs and Exhibits

February 10, 2026 – Lakeland, Florida

For one night only, grownups took over Florida Children’s Museum to raise money for programs, exhibits, and accessible admission initiatives at a special event, Game Night at the Museum. On February 5, over 100 mission-minded attendees raised $35,000 through tickets, paid games, in-kind gifts, and a silent auction.

“Bites” stations were placed throughout the galleries to create a roaming culinary experience. Lakeland BBQ curated their own works of art at each station including an over flowing pretzel bar and J Burns Pizza delivered their famous thin-crust Lakeland staples. The Bites experience was sponsored by D-Print, a local women-owned company.

Throughout the evening, guests played their way through supermarket games, laser tag in Blinky, and tried to find hidden gems in the Dig Pit. Everyone stayed fueled with drink stations sponsored by Publix Supermarkets.

The top silent auction item was a set of full orthodontics donated by Scott Orthodontics. Other event sponsors included Publix Employee Federal Credit Union, Rodda Construction, Central Florida Health Care, Corrosion Control, and Bank of Central Florida.

All money raised from Game Night at the Museum will be invested back into the Museum’s programming. To learn more about Florida Children’s Museum, visit www.ExploreFCM.org.
