Homeschool Workshops
Bring learning to life at Florida Children’s Museum!

Homeschool Workshops are designed to provide developmentally appropriate experiences and engaging content. These 90-minute, drop-off programs are led by FCM’s Education Team. Engage the mind and senses through an enriched learning experience, with a new theme each month!

Workshops are offered on Mondays. The morning session runs 10:30 am to noon; the afternoon session runs 1:30 pm to 3 pm. Cost: $20 for non-members, $18 for members. 

Open to ages 5 – 10 (Children must turn 5 by the last day of month prior to the workshop. Example: must be 5 by Aug. 31 to attend the September 8 workshop.) Registration now open for the 25-26 school year! Must register by 5 pm, week before class.

 Stir, chop, and chomp as we explore nutrition and healthy foods

Workshops will engage the senses, expand language, and develop social skills through literature, hands-on materials, and peer interactions. Expect integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math, building children’s content knowledge and skills. Experiments, literature, cooking, art, and design serve to spark questions, problem-solving, and new learning!

 

Cost: $20 for non-members, $18 for members.
Registration ends the Monday before each class at 5 pm.

Info for Drop Off / Pick Up:

Workshop leaders will pick-up participants from the FCM lobby 5 minutes prior to the class time and will return children to the lobby at the conclusion of class. While children are in the workshop, families may choose to explore Bonnet Springs Park or FCM (with other children in the family with a membership or paid admission). The Depot cafe at Bonnet Springs Park, adjacent to the museum, offers food options for purchase.

Refunds:

Refunds are only available with at least 30 days’ notice.

Registration and Wait Listing:

Registration ends the Monday before each class at 5 pm. A waitlist of up to 5 children per workshop will be maintained in the event of cancellations.
